Spring Fever

I was so glad when April finally rolled around this year. Once March is over, I'm usually ready to start enjoying warmer weather and sitting out on a patio somewhere enjoying a cold beer. April has been busy, but the weather has been gorgeous so I can't really complain.

We took a boat tour on the Augusta Canal and enjoyed the sites one day last week, it was gorgeous outside!

Our old gas grilled died at the end of last summer and we put off getting a new one for a while. Thankfully, Matt found a great deal on a new one and we've been grilling up a storm! it's been really nice being able to cook and eat outside since the weather is so great these days.

The easter beagle brought me lots of sweet treats and we enjoyed Easter supper with Matt's dad, stepbrother and my dad.

Masters week was fabulous in Augusta this year! Matt's dad came to visit and go to the practice rounds with him on Monday. They had a great time since the weather was so nice. Last year when he came it was super cold and rainy, unfortunately.

Wednesday I got to enjoy the course and the Par 3 tournament with my friends Carrie and Stacey.

I hope the rest of April and May is just as fun! I've got a bridal shower that I'm hosting next week and our 1 year anniversary is right around the corner...

It's almost time in Augusta...

2010 So far...

This year has been pretty busy so far. I can't believe it is March already, but I'm so glad that it is almost springtime. Here's what we've been up to so far!

In February...

We celebrated Matt's 30th birthday with a surprise trip to Savannah.

We got almost 6 inches of snow in Augusta! (This almost never happens!)

I started my search for more carnival glass at flea markets and antique marts. I love this stuff!

In January...

I went to a bluegrass concert (Blue Highway) at the Imperial with a few of my work girls. The company was great and the band was even better than expected!

I hung out with the sis, and enjoyed a HUGE ice cream cone from McD's.

I went to visit one of my best friends, Kelly in Savannah, since I hadn't seen her since the fall. i had a great weekend relaxing and wandering around downtown.

I took the hubs to see Willie Nelson and his family band for the first time. I'd seen him twice previously and this time wasn't a disappointment either. I heart Willie and most of his songs.

Snow in Augusta

It is actually snowing in Augusta, Georgia right now! This is my front yard. Thought I'd post a quick pic before I head back out to enjoy the snow.

Rain or Shine...

We're going to see one of our favorite bands tonight, The Avett Brothers! They're playing a show in Augusta tonight as part of the Westobou Festival and it is going to be fantastic. I started listening to the Avett Brothers after Matt introduced me to them and now they are one of my favorite bands. I haven't seen them live yet, but I hear they are a lot of fun and they sing a few of my favorite lyrics:

And...if you're in Augusta during the next 10 days, definitely check out the Westobou Festival and Arts in the Heart of Augusta (we're going tomorrow!). Westobou will have events and concerts like Keb' Mo' and The Blind Boys of Alabama. Arts in the Heart has tons of arts and crafts vendors and a bunch of delicious international foods. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no rain and hoping I can start Christmas shopping tomorrow!
