Changes in LaGrange

Since my Papa got hitched last fall, he's been living with the new wife at her casa. We really like Mrs. Lynn, although I have to admit, it's been an adjustment going to visit him at the new place. This probably sounds more drastic than it really is...I mean, Mrs. Lynn's place is less than 10 minutes away on the other side of town. I guess the hardest part is just that Papa has lived in the same house ever since Kate and I came along and we are the only two grandkids, so we've never had to share him. I am really happy to see him so happy with Mrs. Lynn and she's so sweet to us, too.
The semi-sad news is that Papa has decided to rent out his house (thank goodness he isn't selling it!) to a family that he knows that needs a new place to live. That's one reason I love Papa so much, he's always willing to help out his friends. He has and always will be the sweetest, wisest man. So last weekend, we packed up and hit the road for LaGrange, to help him sort through nearly 30+ years of living in one house. I haven't even been alive for 30 years, much less lived in one house that long! It was a little emotionally and physically exhausting, and sad at some points, but I'm glad we were able to help. We also found a few treasures along the way...
Papa's Boy Scout Badges
Some of Grandmama's Pottery...
